Tim Adler is a former commissioning editor on the Daily Telegraph, who has written for the Financial Times and The Times, among others.
He is now editor of business news website SmallBusiness, which was recognised by Press Gazette alongside the BBC and the Telegraph for best blog coverage of the coronavirus epidemic.
Tim has written four novels, the latest of which is gangland supernatural psychological thriller DEAD ALREADY, which book blog Once Upon a Time called “intense, gripping … a thrilling read” and influential blogger GingerBookGeek gave a “well-deserved” 5 stars.
Bestselling crime author Peter James said of its predecessor HOLD STILL, “hooked me from the very beginning and Adler’s engaging style and sharp pace kept me glued”.
And Tim’s debut medical thriller SLOW BLEED went to number #1 in the US Amazon Kindle psychological thriller chart. Crime Book Club made it a Book of the Month.
E-thriller.com made its follow-up SURROGATE a Book of the Month.
Before becoming a thriller writer, Tim wrote three non-fiction books, the most recent of which, THE HOUSE OF REDGRAVE was called “compulsively readable” by the Sunday Times and “dazzling” by the Daily Mail.
Outside of mongering thrillers, Tim is a yoga enthusiast and enjoys playing bridge but his deepest passion remains thinking up twisty psychological thrillers.
“The whole purpose of a thriller is to put the protagonist under the greatest pressure possible and see how they cope with it,” he says.
